Greetings, My beautiful wife and I have a K10 & K20 although she much prefers the K10 for some reason. So the K20 spends most of its time on the Sigma 150-500. The HSM motor works really great with the K20. Several lenses in the bags so not going into that. I also also shoot with a Nikon D300 but thats talk for a different group.

I owned Pentax K100D in 2007 and you can visit my blog for my positive thoughts and impressions. But the K20D is a much more advanced camera like the latest K-7 but it is bigger and heavier.

I like red color as you can see in my blog page in http://www.techtheman.com that uses Pentax red banner. Not exactly but something close.

I find the red one too plastic in the debut of Pentax K-x

The K-1000 is worth you every penny to keep it for full frame 35mm keepsake. A wonderful camera not to be missed. The K100 Super was a nice camera and worth consideration as an entry level but I would suggest you to look into others for consideration:

e.g.
1. Pentax K100 Super -- a good cam and super can work with SDM lens but it is a bit old -- a decent copy may run $200 roughly

2. Pentax K10D -- a better one that I highly recommend, harder to use than K100D or K100D super but it is the finest camera that you can buy used frequently around $300 to $400 dollars

3. Pentax K-m -- the last year entry level, a faster frame rate over 3.5 fps, lower price, newer, smaller like K100D

4. Pentax K-x -- this is going to be an awesome camera with 720p video with 24 fps

5. The best bang for the buck for a new copy is Pentax K20D which I am using.

You can see Hin's Pentax Gear for reference

I actually liked the red one. I don't have a Pentax dslr yet but i've borrowed the K100 Super but I do own a K-1000 and a ZX-5N with battery grip. I've been looking for a bargain on ebay so i can use my K mount lenses that's collecting dusts at home. I'm looking at the K100 Super ( used ) 'cuz it's got that built-in stabilizer and affordable for me...:)...~ ed

I just started this Pentax dSLR group, all members with interest in Pentax are welcome. That include all members who have film and digital experience with Pentax.

I just have my blog post for the recent release of Pentax K-x and I have picked the color white and a red grip as the logo for this group. Will be subject to change when users are on board.
